Sunnydale Community College: A two year school offering Associate's degrees in almost everything one can think of. A lot of tradesmen go here for advanced certification, so if you want a welder, or a radiology tech or some such, this is the place to do it. Low level university influence goes a long way here.
Porterhouse University: One of three four year colleges in The City, Porterhouse is the oldest of the three, and the only State-run school. It was founded in 1702, and deeded to the state in 1789. It is a fully accredited university, Its campus sits adjacent to the St. Vitus Cemetary, and forms the other part of the "green wall" that divides Sunnydale from The City. Porterhouse is famous for its programs in the Arts and Social Sciences. It is more famous for its graduate programs, and thus its libraries are geared towards research. It holds extensive collections in history, psychology, anthropology and law. Porterhouse has a world reknowned congitive psychology department that focuses in Artificial Intelligence.
City University: Porterhouse's biggest rival is City University, with a large undergrad population, and a science based curriculum, CU is even more famous than Porterhouse as a research insititution. CU has one of the finest hospitals in the world. The CU campus is spread out over all the Boroughs, but the main campus is the Tower of Learning, a 50 story skyscraper in the city proper.
St. Aloysius College: A small Catholic university in River Glen (though still maintaining the name College) St. Aloysius is technically older than Porterhouse, having been founded in 1658 as a seminary. It only became a college, however, in 1807. St. Aloysius is famous for its focus on classical education and independent study. The College Library is a repository of documents from the Vatican, and is the most important Catholic library outside the Holy See.
