THE CITY – An 8.3 magnitude earthquake rocked The City last evening, sending currents of destruction throughout the surrounding boroughs. Communications systems have not yet been restored and Marshal law has been declared throughout the area. Catastrophic damage and panic has created a cone of chaos. Reports have filtered out of the immense damage, fires, flooding, buildings that are sinking into liquefied soil, not to mention looting, fights over supplies and a high death toll.
National Guard has already been dispatched to the area in an attempt to restore order, while rescue workers and relief operations are organizing to go in and aide the populace. It is the estimate of leaders that most individuals will not see any assistance for another three to five days.
