Ghost thrummed his fingers across the desk impatiently, watching the video footage over and over again. He was sure of it, now. He had marked one of the culprits. Identifying the others involved was some rather easy guesswork. All he had to do was make his move, and those stupid bastards would scream apologies. But no matter.
There were other things to consider now, things that made his personal grudges mere hobbies in comparison. Besides, he was certain he would see Cesare or one of the other Tremere around here soon enough, and he could talk business with them then. Right now he just had to reach the right people. If only the right people weren't so damned obstinate...

Cesare arrived at the bookstore at a fairly late hour. His evening classes were busy with finals and he took his time afterward to network with some of his more promising students. He had little interest in the below average or even the average students. It was those that actually used their intellect to better themselves that deserved notice. He normally would have gone straight to the chantry but he recieved a text from Mrs. Appleton that Ghost has been hanging around the bookstore. Given recent events and the damage done to Ghost's domain, it might be a good opportunity to see who the fuck is trying to smear his reputation with crude pyrotechnics. Besides, he needed answers for this insult, and the Tremere always pay their debts with interest when it comes to revenge.
It didn't take long to find Ghost, it was almost as if he was already expecting him by his expression. He gave a polite nod to him as he set down a briefcase and a folder of term papers off to the side. He pulled up a chair opposite of Ghost across the desk and folded his hands.
"With all the crap you and I have to sort through in Sunnydale, you'd think others would have the foresight to stay out of our way."

Ghost had been cruising through his files, trying to angle a way into getting his voice into the right ears. One of the things about life that did not improve with the Embrace was getting a chance to talk to the high-end assholes in charge of everything. If anything, it became exponentially harder. You had a pay-grade you worked at, and very few things beyond hard work, unscrupulously Machiavellian scheming, or good old-fashioned nepotism could get you a face-to-face with anyone who could actually make things happen. And pushing too hard the wrong way could get you terminated. And that was often taken somewhat literally when your bosses were all bloodsucking fiends from beyond the grave.
He finally received a welcome respite from these concerns when he heard familiar footsteps approaching. Appleton's Books had charming, heavily-lacquered hardwood floors, which created a different sound upon them than tile or linoleum when they were tread upon. He had been here often enough and heard these particular footsteps often enough here that Cesare's walk had become distinctive in the acoustics of this room. He closed down the files he had been skimming through and brought up the video footage he had been staring at earlier, ready to play at his lightest touch.
He watched as Cesare sat in front of him with his hands folded, and listened.
"All things considered, I find myself of two minds on your statement. I'll explain that soon enough. For now, though, let me just say that I've got enough for us to go on." He offered Cesare a predatory grin and gestured for them to walk.
