Hi there, Parker Thomas here, and as some of you may know, I have taken it upon myself to head up Sunnydale's Bicentennial Celebration Committee. Next year, as you know is 2011, and this marks the 200 anniversary of Sunnydale's founding in 1811. What is most special about this is that Sunnydale's Kindred community was instrumental in founding the community, and therefore the Bicentennial is a celebration for the Kindred as well as the Mortals. Of course, we are all aware that Sunnydale has been hard hit by the recent economic downturn, but really, the town has lost its identity with the growth of The City in the past century. Well I have taken it upon myself to put a little luster back in the name Sunnydale, and show the Kindred community that Sunnydale is the jewel in the Prince's Crown. I am therefore forming a Bicentennial Celebration committee to discuss ways we can come together and have a very memorable February 4th, 2011. A preliminary meeting will be held in October to put this together. I want all of you to help me help Sunnydale to Sparkle.

A party! I LOVE a party. Please count me in on any and all planning, Parker. I would not dream of passing up the opportunity. Oh! I’m so excited!! I can’t wait to get started.

Parties and frivolity, is that all you people think of? What about real concerns like security, or protecting hunting grounds? I know celebrations make one feel good, but you two spend so much time trying to be "civic" leaders by throwing parties that you never address the real political issues: like the biker gang that seems to have moved into St. Vitus, or feeding rights disputes. If you want Sunnydale to shine, then make it run smoothly. It is far better to be the metal in the crown than the jewelry.

Broc agrees completely with everything Mr. Smythe just said.
Broc also wants to know why Parker is trying to gay this joint up?
Broc thinks that if Cindi wants to do some party planning, well then come on over to his house, you and Broc can plan a party in his pants.

Since ev’ry man who lives is born to die, And none can boast sincere felicity, With equal mind, what happens, let us bear, Nor joy nor grieve too much for things beyond our care.

I'm glad to see a positive response from most of you. This may be a party but it is not frivolous. It will be a great tool to show off Sunnydale and raise our image. This does not replace other concerns like those raised by Smythe but it is important in its own right. We need to get the whole borough involved and really show Sunnydale at it's best, both to ourselves and to the rest of the City. We can be both the metal and the jewels. The two are not mutually exclusive.

I think the recent demise of Mr. Clayfield should underscore my earlier point.
